Rounder119 was one of the first seven enlisted personel
assigned to pre-com detail in Jan 55.
All seven were Firecontrol Techs.
After attending MK100 Comp School at Arma Mfg
on Long Island, we were assigned to
OIC NY Ship Yard Camden, NJ.
Would like to hear from anyone in Fox Div during 55 thru Nov 57.
Finished my military career in the Army Reserve.
Transfered to retired reserve on December 31, 1978
as a Command Sgt Major.
Look forward to attending a reunion some day.
Fond memories of the USS Boston CAG-1
USS JUNEAU (CLAA-119)
Anchored there in Venice during our Med Cruise 1949.
Picked up a cable there and had to go in the yard at
Valetta, Malta to replace a screw that was warped.
Thought the mast would shake off at high speed
until it was replaced
